Celebrating 46 years of tradition, hard work, family and historic ranches.
The Texas Ranch Roundup® is the “original” event designed to replicate the big cattle roundups of the late 1800s and early 1900s, and, in 1981 was the first of the hundreds of ranch rodeos that now occur all over North America.
More about the Texas Ranch Roundup
The Texas Ranch Roundup family has lost a true trailblazer.
Wilson Scaling was one of a kind and his leadership, generosity and love for the ranching community are woven into the history of TRR. His decades of service to the North Texas Rehabilitation Center and his belief in the mission behind Texas Ranch Roundup helped make a lasting difference for the individuals and families NTRC serves.
His impact was recognized by our participating ranches when they honored him with the Texas Ranch Roundup Trailblazer Award in 2012.
Wilson’s legacy will live on through the people, organizations and traditions he loved so well. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Ann, his family and all who loved him. He will be deeply missed. ❤️

🤠 Happy National Day of the American Cowboy! 🤠
If you’ve ever mended a fence, saddled a horse before sunrise, worked cattle in the Texas heat or simply carry the cowboy way of life in your heart… today is for you.
The cowboy isn’t just a hat and a pair of boots—it’s grit, integrity, faith, family and a willingness to work hard no matter what the day brings. That’s the spirit we’ve celebrated at the Texas Ranch Roundup for 45 years.
Now, let’s celebrate the people who keep that legacy alive!
📸 Share a photo of your favorite cowboy or cowgirl in the comments and tell us who they are. Your spouse, your kids, your parents, grandparents, a lifelong ranch hand, or even your favorite four-legged partner—we want to meet them!
Let’s fill this post with the faces behind the western heritage we all love. ❤️
